📰 History and Growth
Gramer Kagoj launched its journey in the newspaper industry from the March 26 issue of 1999 as a weekly newspaper. It evolved into a daily newspaper on 22 December 2001, owing to its increasing popularity. It started as the first coloured daily newspaper in south-west Bangladesh on March 17, 2002. This move was one big step for local journalism.
It was launched by Mobinul Islam Mobin, who has chaired as editor and publisher. Gramer Kagoj became a household name in the media under his leadership with the help of a new generation of dedicated journalists.

Early adoption of technology by Gramer Kagoj Jessore. It expanded online in March 13, 2010, so readers everywhere can now access it. The website, www.gramerkagoj.com Provides current news and updates at Surfer Today. An e-paper version is also offered at www.egramerkagoj.com, enabling readers to view it as it originally appeared in the newspaper.
This digital shift was very crucial online, for people outside, who were keen to know about the news trends that occurred in Jessore and the surrounding areas.
🤝 Social Responsibility
Apart from news reporting, Gramer Kagoj Jessore has been in the social service sector. For example, when a young girl named Munni needed heart surgery, the newspaper had acted and helped gather around 500,000 BDT for her treatment. The newspaper’s excellent spirit in this regard spoke very well for its devotion to the community.
Beauty, a Chuadanga-based singer who had achieved recognition in the “Close-Up One” competition, also received the newspaper’s endorsement. Gramer Kagoj brought her to the forefront by covering her story.
