DPSC (Daud Public School and College) started its journey under establishment on 3rd September 1959, at the time the land was donated by Dawood Khan (DHAKA), the renowned businessman of greater Jessore. Six and a half million rupees were spent on the construction of the first building. Classes began on June 17, 1961, with the Cambridge University curriculum through grade 8. The college has grown over time, with college sections added in 1969 and science and business studies streams added in subsequent years. The college section has been a separate entity calling itself Cantonment College since 1983. But the college part was revived in 2015 under its original name of Daud Public School and College.
