Established in 1963, the Jessore Board (formally known as the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Jessore) serves the education system of the Khulna division of Bangladesh. The Jessore Board History dates back to its creation, initially covering 4 districts: Khulna, Jessore, Barisal, and Kushtia, with 508 schools and 20 colleges. The first chairman was Dr. Abdul Haque, who held the position from October 9, 1963, to December 4, 1965.

Division of Jurisdiction
In 1999, the formation of a separate education board for the Barisal division reduced the Jessore Education Board’s coverage to the present ten districts of Khulna, Bagerhat, Satkhira, Jessore, Jhenaidah, Magura, Narail, Kushtia, Chuadanga and Meherpur. Current Scope and Reach
Currently, BISE Jessore supervises 2,700+ recognized schools along with 500+ colleges. While most institutions conduct classes in Bangla, quite a few, such as Jhenaidah Cadet College and Military Collegiate School of Khulna, have English mediums of the national curriculum.
Technological Advancements
To enhance its operations, the board has adopted technology. Computerization was introduced to examination processes in 1994 and online services gradually expanded to include publication of results and other educational services.

- Certificate of PRIMARY SCHOOL COMPLETION (if available)
- Certification letter from the head of the institution (school or college)
**Major Name Changes
Documents needed in the case of major name changes:
- Birth certificate
- National ID card
- Parents’ National ID cards
- If applicable, Certificate of Primary Education Completion
- No Objection Certificate from the head of the institution
- An affidavit on 300 BDT non-judicial stamp by a guardian
- JSC/SSC certificates of siblings or parents (if available)
- Local authority certificate (Union Parishad Chairman or Mayor) certifying identity in case different names found for same person
- Passport or visa (if it is issued)
📅 Age Correction
To rectify the age information, applicants must submit:
- Verification from a Civil Surgeon (Compulsory)
- Birth certificate
- National ID card
- Primary School Certificate of Completion (but not always)
- Certificate of attestation from the director of the place of education
- Affidavit on non-judicial stamp of BDT 300 by guardian
- Passport, or visa (if any)

- Go to the Name & Age Correction Portal.
- Complete the online application with correct information.
- Upload all the necessary documents as scanned copies.
- You will get an SMS where the date and time for the interview will be shown after submission.
- Go for the interview as per the date & time — with all original Documents.
Important Notes:
- If he/she is absent for three interviews, his/her application will be automatically canceled.
- Without the SMS notification, you may not receive any services.
